Zaher Alkaei
I’m a computational linguist working on systematic analysis of Arabic-language media. I founded Discursa, a discourse intelligence practice reading social and broadcast media across Gulf, Levantine, Egyptian, and Maghrebi dialect communities for foundations, NGOs, broadcasters, and research institutions. My background is in natural language processing and machine learning, and I build the collection and classification tooling my research runs on rather than relying on off-the-shelf platforms.
I also research music and compose it — funded studies of Syrian rap and of classical institutions in Syria, alongside my own composition and performance.
I’m open to collaboration on projects that align with my interests and expertise. For inquiries or information about my fees, please feel free to contact me.
